1. Tourist visa

Oman Tourist visas are given to foreign citizens who want to visit Oman for tourism purposes. The holder of this visa may stay in the country for one month, which is extendable. Multiple visits to the country with a single tourist visa are not allowed. If the holder of the visa remains resides in the country after the visa expires, he or she must pay Rs.1725 every day as a fine. The time required to issue a tourist visa is five working smooth.

2. Business visa

If you want to start your own business in Oman to sell your product or service, then you will need to apply for an Oman business visa. You may need to convince that your business will be profitable and will make a positive contribution to their economy. 3. Employment/work visa

If a person wants to work in Oman or want to make a career in the country, or even work for a short duration, he or she must apply for an Oman work visa. The visa is valid for three months from the date of issue. The visa is valid for an extension and permits multiple entries to the country.

4. Student visa

Students seeking to pursue higher studies in Oman will be required to apply for Oman visa from India. You have to mention the name of the course you are going to take in Oman, duration of the course, the letter of admission from the institute you are going to study, and no objection certificate from the institution you are going to pass in India. Oman Visa Requirements

Documents required for getting tourist Oman visa

  1. Passport- A passport is a document that is needed at the time of international travel. This shall be issued by the Government of the country to verify the identity and nationality of the candidate. The passport submitted should comply with the parameters set out below.
    • It must be authentic and real. 
    • It must be valid for 6 months before the duration of the stay. 
    • It must have at least two blank pages for a visa stamp. 
    • It must not be torn, cut, broken or damaged in any way.

2. Photograph- The image will be given to the authority so that you can be identified based on the same. Photographs must be provided according to the photo requirement. 

    • It must cover the face of 80 per cent of the frame. 
    • It’s needed to be clicked on the whole blue background. 
    • One copy of the picture to be submitted with general photo guidelines. 
    • It must be of the correct size with measurements of 35×45 mm (length-45 mm, width-35 mm). 
    • It’s got to have a matte finish. 
    • It’s got to be the latest photograph. 
    • Face expression must be neutral.
    • No glasses shall be worn in the photograph. 
    • The hair has to be tied back so that the face is clearly visible. 
    • The ears should be clearly visible. 
    • It must have no headgear worn except for religious reasons.

3. Adhaar Card- Adhaar Card is proof of citizenship given to residents of India. It also acts as a proof of identification and address. The Adhaar card is one of the most critical and binding documents. It must be submitted in compliance with the guidelines set out below. 

    • A detailed copy of the information to be accessed by the officials must be provided. 
    • At the time of application, it must be intact and undamaged.

 4. Pan card- Pan card is a document provided by the government to taxpayers in order to track their financial transactions. The PAN card is an important document issued by the government and it must be provided as proof of signature.

5. Flight ticket and proof of applicant stay in country – An air ticket is an important document and should be submitted for checking purpose. It must be checked for a journey back and forth to Oman. It has to be checked for the complete round trip.

Documents required for getting Business visa

  1. A passport that does not expire for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
  2. The visa application forms of the applicant.
  3. Two photographs of the applicant with dimensions 35X45mm which has 80% face size and white matt finish.

  7. Covering Letter From Company – A cover letter from the company is provided on behalf of the employee if he or she travels to another country on behalf of the company for business. The cover letter given to employees should be accepted based on the following conditions. It should also mention the details of the traveller’s stay in the country. It must contain both the traveller’s and the company’s information and must be issued on the company’s letterhead including the official seal and signature. The cover letter is the first document to be seen by the embassy authorities. If the cover letter is not suitable, the visa may also be rejected.
  8. Invitation Letter From Company- An invitation letter from the organization shall be provided at a time when a particular employee is invited to the company or at a time when the company is setting up a business meeting or conference attracting companies from different countries to the benefit of the company.

Documents required for getting an Oman work visa

  1. Two photographs of dimensions 40X60mm.
  2. A copy of the applicant’s passport. 
  3. The passport should not expire at least 6 months from the date of travel. 
  4. The original visa application form with multiple copies.
  5. The original labour permit that has been issued by Ministry of Manpower along with multiple copies.
  6. If a situation arises in which the applicant’s sponsor in Oman can not submit an application, the Omani delegate can, instead, submit a letter of authorization from the Directorate-General for Passport and Residence.
  7. Medical certificate is also needed as per the demands of the health ministry of Oman for the following countries: India, Ethiopia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Sri Lanka.
  8. A document stating approval of the profession from the concerned organization in Oman.

Documents required for getting a student visa

  1. Two pictures of the applicant of the size 40X60 mm.
  2. A copy of the passport of the applicant. The passport should not expire at least six months from the date of journey
  3. Authorized signature of the signatories issued by the Department of Commerce and industry.
  4. If a situation occurs in which the applicant’s sponsor can not submit an application in Oman, the Omani delegate may, instead, submit a letter of authorization from the Directorate-General for Passport and Residence.
  5. For people of the following countries, a medical certificate is also required in accordance with the requirements of the Oman Ministry of Health: India, Ethiopia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Sri Lanka.
  6. A license that has been issued by the responsible authorities that is sponsoring to study international students to study in Oman.

Tip: Make sure that you have a proper residential arrangement in Oman. If you don’t have proper living arrangements for Oman, then this could reject your visa.

The Oman e-Visa is managed through the website of the Royal Oman Police. If you want to get Oman visa online, you need to apply online by visiting. To initiate an application, you must create an online account on the Oman e-Visa website. One individual can apply on behalf of the entire travel party. Once you’ve created your account, start by clicking “Apply for Visa” and then “Apply for Unsponsored Visa.” You will be drawn to the Visa Eligibility Wizard, that asks you for your nationality and whether you are a citizen of a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE). After that, you will be asked to choose the specific type of visa you are applying for. This will depend on how long you plan to explore Oman. The application process starts with the collection of basic personal details, such as your name and passport information. The next screen asks for the name of your marital status, and visa numbers of any previous Oman visas you have received.

This is proceeded by a page asking you to upload a recent portrait photo, as well as a picture of your passport information page. The standard criteria for passport photos are upright orientation, plain background colour picture, no glasses, etc. Nevertheless, since this is an e-Visa application, there is no obligation at all to have the photo taken professionally. Application processing time

Once the application has been submitted with complete information, it will be processed within the least amount of time. Types of Poland Visa  

In accordance with the purpose of your travel to Poland, there are different types of visas that you can apply for. As part of the European Union, a Poland Schengen visa is required. You could be travelling to Poland for tourism, study, work, or permanent residency purposes. Each of these have a different kind of Poland Schengen visa.

The validity of these visas and entry limits come under two categories:  

  1. The Schengen visa or ‘C’ visa permits you to stay for a duration of up to 90 days per 180 days in the Schengen area 
  2. The National ‘D’ visa is the long-term visa that permits a stay duration of over 90 days and up to a maximum limit of 365 days in Poland. This national visa permits a stay in other Schengen countries for up to 90 days per every 180 days. Note that this is a multiple – entry visa. 

According to the Embassy of Poland, the Schengen visa or ‘C’ visa can be issued as a single, double or even a multiple – entry visa. However, the double or multiple – entry visas will be issued only for frequent travellers or if you have attached relevant documents such as ticket reservations which prove that you will leave the Schengen area as per a fixed plan.


Note: The multiple – entry visa is not needed if you intend to travel within the Schengen area only.


These are the types of Poland visa for Indians:

  • Tourist visa – If you intend to travel to Poland on tourism purposes, to explore the country as a tourist destination, a Poland tourist visa is required. It takes about 15 working days to process.  
  • Business visa – The Poland business visa strictly applies only to those whose travel to Poland is restricted to business purposes.   • If you are a single woman is traveling to Poland, a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from your father or husband needs to be submitted.

These are the documents required for a Poland work permit visa – 

  • A proof of application of ‘Work Promise ‘ to the local labor office by the organization or company that will be employing you in Poland. Ensure that you receive the original copy of the ‘Work Promise’ for the processing of your Poland visa application form. 
  • Your passport that has a validity of at least 3 months from your date of travel. You must also submit any old passports that you might have that are not older than 10 years. Ensure that your current passport has at least 2 blank pages. 
  • The filled-out Poland visa application form for employment purposes. Ensure that all the details filled by you are accurate and can be supported with appropriate documents. Re-check all the details for any possible flaws. 
  • Your photograph that has the following dimensions: 35 mm x 44 mm. It must have a white background. Ensure that you get the photograph clicked in such a manner that your face covers 70 – 80% of photograph area. The photograph must not be older than 6 months and must be mandatorily printed on a high-quality paper. 
  • The confirmation of your return ticket to India. 
  • A document that acts as a travel insurance of 30,000 Euros must be bought by you. This travel insurance must hold a validity of at least 15 days after your return to India. 
  • Documents that support your financial capacity to bear expenses in Poland. These can include bank account statements. 
  • You must also hold an onward visa to another country before your visit to Poland.

Procedure to apply for Poland Visa – Poland Visa Application Process

Poland Visa Fees 

The Poland visa fees for any type of visa is INR 4900. This is a non-refundable fee which can be paid through the payment modes of either bank transfer or cash.

Receipt of Poland Visa – Visa Processing Time  

The processing of your Poland visa can take up to 14 working days. However, in some exceptional cases, this processing duration can even extend up to 30 working days. Therefore, it is advisable to confirm your travel plans and apply for the Poland visa at least a month prior to your travel.

Extension of Poland Visa for Indians

1. Type ‘C’ Schengen Visa

The type ‘C’ Schengen visa can be extended on two grounds – obligatory or optional. On the obligatory ground, you can state that the acts of God or other humanitarian reasons are preventing you from leaving the territory of Poland or any other Schengen state before the expiry of your visa document. If the authorities decide to permit this extension, the process is absolutely free of cost. 2. Type ‘D’ National Visa 

These four conditions need to be met in order to avail an extension in your Poland visa – 

  • Unavoidable circumstances of humanitarian, personal, or professional nature that prevent you from leaving Poland before the expiry of your visa 
  • The above-mentioned circumstances were not expected by you when you applied for your visa 
  • The purpose of your stay continues to remain the same as mentioned before you availed your visa 
  • There were no circumstances that led to the refusal of your visa such as :
  • Your name being listed in the registry of undesirable individuals 
  • Possession of insufficient funds to stay in Poland or to return to India 
  • The lack of a health insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros 
  • You threaten the security or the public interest of Poland 
  • A lack of required, valid visa documents 
  • Failure in clearly stating the purpose of your stay 
  • Filling up of your visa application in an improper or illegal manner 
  • Caused doubt regarding you leaving Poland before the expiry of the visa

What are the fees for a Norway Visa?

The Norway visa fee needs to be paid while applying for a visa in the online portal. You can use your credit or debit card or net banking to pay the Norway visa fee. In case you are unable to access the payment gateway of the online portal, then you need to submit the fee at the embassy or the visa application centers.

For adults, the Norway visa fee is 60 EURO and for children between ages 6 to 12 it is 35 EURO. Details of the fees are mentioned in here. Since you would be submitting the application, passport, and documents at the Visa application centers which are external agencies, you will be charged a service fee. The service fee is 20 EURO per person. The service fee is not required if you submit the application at the Embassy in New Delhi.

What is the processing time for Norway Visa?

The processing time for Norway visa is 15 working days from the date the application is received at the Embassy in New Delhi. The days are counted till the time the passport is couriered to the desired location. The exact days may vary depending on the preferred location of delivery. It is advisable not to follow up before the scheduled 15 days of visa processing time.

For Delhi, it is advisable to consider an additional of 2 days more and other locations an additional of 4 to 6 days more to receive the visa. In certain cases, the application is sent to UDI which is the Directorate of Immigration. The decision at UDI may take a longer time, which may extend up to 60 days.

Italy Visa fees from India

Italy visa fees from India to apply for a Schengen visa is 4810/- INR payable via Demand Draft favouring “VFS GLOBAL SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED” at the city where visa was applied.

For minor from 6-12 years, the visa cost is 2810/- INR. 

In addition to the Italy visa fee, an additional charge of INR 496 is levied as VFS service charge.

A convenience fee of INR 166 is charged if payment is made by cash, credit or debit card.

Visa fee is waived off for :

  • Kids below 6 years of age.
  • Researchers going out for scientific research work.

Drop Box Service for Italian Visa Application

The drop box service has been started from 21st January 2019 for Applicants who have already submitted their biometric after 02 November 2015. The drop box service at Blue dart is only for Applicants who are not required to submit biometrics including children below 12 years of age.

Steps to be followed to avail drop box service:

  • Applicant must have the visa application form filled and duly signed. All supporting documents, photograph based on specifications and passport duly attached along with the Demand draft for Visa fees and other charges.
  • Each Application to be posted in a separate envelope.
  • Submit Courier consent form for doorstep passport delivery at your desired address.
  • Fill up the Declaration form stating that you understand the entire drop box submission procedure.
  • Put all the required documents in a sealed envelope and hand it over to Blue Dart courier executive.
  • As a token of receipt, you’ll be handed over an Air Waybill. This bill needs to be shown by the applicant at the time of receiving the processed passport.

What to do if the Visa Application gets revoked?

In case your visa is rejected, you have a right to appeal. The Appeals are conducted against the final decisive Member State in accordance with the national law of the specified EU Member State.

The procedure to appeal. National laws, concerned authorities that can be contacted and the time limit for delivering appeal is mentioned in case the visa is refused by the member state.

How much time does it take to process the visa?

Ideally, applications are processed within 15 days from the date of submission. In some cases if the candidate is asked to produce additional documents, the process might be extended to 30 days.

  • South African tourist visa – If an Indian intends to travel to South Africa for tourism purposes, he or she must obtain the South African tourist visa. This visa takes about 12 working days to process.

1. South African tourist visa

  • A valid Indian passport that does not expire for a minimum period of 3 months after the expiry date of the visa. If you have an old passport that was issued not more than 10 years ago, it needs to be submitted as well. A photocopy of the first and last pages of your current passport needs to be provided to the Embassy or Consulate. Note that at least two pages of your current passport must be blank.

3. South African work visa

  • The passport of the applicant must not expire for at least 30 days after he or she has left South Africa on the expiration of the visa. The applicant will have to provide photocopies of the first and last page of the passport. 
  • If the applicant has traveled to South Africa earlier, he or she will have to also provide the visa approved prior to that visit as well. 
  • A filled out Visa Form-8 must be submitted along with the passport of the applicant. Ensure that the form is filled with a black ink pen and capital letters.
  • The applicant will also have to fill out a ‘power of attorney’ form and paste a revenue stamp on it.
  • The applicant will have to submit two photographs with matt finish and dimensions 35x44mm. They must not be older than a month. The background should be white in color and the photographs should show 70-80% of the face size. 
  • If the applicant’s invitation letter requests for multiple entries into South Africa, the applicant will be required to explain the reason for this request in another letter. 
  • If the applicant makes any changes on the visa application form, the applicant will have to sign next to the changes made. This is mandatory as proof that the changes to the form have been made by the applicant itself. Note that the form will be rejected without these signatures.
